How Traveling To Dubai Changed Me

3 months back when I was still in Manila, I absolutely had no direction in life. I didn’t know if Im on the right path. Sure, I graduated in nursing and I passed the board exams…So what? I’m still in confusion. Because I know In my heart that there’s gotta be more to life than just being stuck inside the hospital for 8 hours. 3 months ago, I was still a happy go-lucky guy even though I have already graduated from college. I have learned that I was in confusion and in this state of “What’s going to happen to me?” because of the PEOPLE surrounding me. I was so much under the power of other people, that I should do this and to that.

Some of my Friends say: ”Magtrabaho tayo tapos MagNCLEX tayo”( Let’s be a nurse and get an NCLEX exam)

Some of my friends say: “Magcallcenter tayo”(Let’s work in a callcenter)

Some of my friends say: “Gimik tayo” (Let’s go and have fun!)

Some of my relatives say: BRYAN GO GET A JOB!Go to the Hospital!

Magaartista ba ako? Magmomodel Ba ako? Magnurse ba ako? Magcacallcenter ba ako?

AAAAAAh! This is the main problem that I have. I’m always LISTENING to what these people say and of course, my actions get affected by them because I’m blank minded at that time and quite unsure of what I really want to achive in life. And it all ends up to……..NOTHING

Why? Because these are the things that these people wanna do! BAKIT BA NILA AKO DINIDIKTAHAN!? DAHIL SILA ANG TAMA?

My mind was in a state of dilemma ->I was searching for the inner desire of my soul.-> I just want to be Happy.

LESSON 1: Do not rely your actions on what other people dictate. Identify the things that can make you truly happy and complete.

LESSON 2: Do things one step at a time while using you’re time efficiently. You are right Jordin Sparks!hehe! Do not rush into things that are nonsense. Make sure that everything you do is relevant to your life and your chosen career. Follow the right directions.

Example: You want to be a nurse… Why in the world will you work in a callcenter!?? THAT’S WASTING TIME! Go get a training or apply in the hospital! Get your required certificates and requirements.

At first I thought that I should regret being a nurse, but now I am glad that I chose it as my course, because It can be a stepping stone for me to land in my Dreamjob to be a Flight Attendant. First Aid is a thing that every human being should know.

LESSON 3: Maximize your potentials

If you have a certain skill or talent, then develop it.While you’re still young. That’s if you have the time though. But you can easily manage your time. Just know your priorities.

In my case, I want to learn violin playing. And I also want to create accessories for men in order to release my undeniable love for the ARTS and Anime. And so violin lessons, craft workshops, and health trainings are what I need. Not to go to starbucks and be a barista or something.hehehehe!Walang tatamaan.

LESSON 4: Know the things that can give you PERMANENT HAPPINESS.

Pano ko ba explain toh? Ganito na lang…Lovers,Bf,Gf are temporary. Childhood Friends are permanent. Bestfriends are permanent. F*ck buddies are temporary. Family is permanent.A House is permanent. Money is temporary. Cash Savings are permanent. Beauty is temporary but health is Permanent. Pictures are permanent. Memories are temporary.SOME FRIENDS are TEMPORARY. Sana nagets nyo.hehe

In Short, prioritize your faith, family, your health, your house, your future and your GOOD AND LOYAL friends. Things that will never break and last forever. Just like Diamonds.

“Follow your Dreams”- Or else your life will be full of REGRETS

LESSON 5: Travelling makes you see the world, feel the world.Travelling makes you feel human.

Hehehehe. Hinde lahat ng tao sa mundo pinoy. Parang ang feeling mo nasa ibang planeta ka at you are surrounded by aliens!
Why Aliens? I don’t understand what they say, write, want etc etc.

People from different nationalities give you that feeling of curiousity. Kasi nga Alien sila sa Paningin mo db?! Ayun.Next na nga!

LESSON 6: Life is a game. You can cheat. But you’ll never win thru cheating. The only way you can win this game is by increasing your knowledge and experiences in order to progress….or should I say “LEVEL UP”

LESSON 7: Blogging is a form of therapy to release emotions. To think things over. To reflect. A memory bank that is priceless. So Start bloggin now!

LESSON 8: Make Friends! BUT CHOOSE THEM WISELY.^^

Types of Friends:
a.) Classmates and Childhood Friends – These are the best you can find. Keep them.
b.) User Friendly Friends – They are there when they need or want something from you
c.) F*ckin Friends- Just like user friends but they want something more than you can give. They need sexual gratification. Go bring them to the Church.
d.) Useless Friends – These are the ones who only wants to have fun. Fun.fun.
e.) Envious Friends – oooooh avoid these.
f.) Best Friends – They share their life with you. They practically bring endless joy to each other when you’re together. =]

LESSON 9: FORGIVE.

3 months ago, some people just gave me bad memories “Sama ng Loob” before my flight. That’s why I almost didn’t enjoy my first 2 weeks in Dubai. So I just decided to forgive them and forget them. And then, everything was ok again. It’s not the distance that saved me from being mad and sad, but it was forgiveness.

LESSON 10: Learn to Learn your Lessons.

My Weekend with Mom

So many things happened to me this past three days that I was with mom. I kinda realized so many things in life. One lesson I learned is that there’s abslolutely nothing to be sad about. I’m so filled with positivity. Changes in life, problems in life are always unpredictable. So all we have to do is to have inner peace with ourselves and to the people around us. I have noticed that every face that I see around has that look of despair and sadness that’s why I began to smile. I want to prove all these people around me that they are wrong. Life is a game a test or a challenge perhaps. We lose. We Win. But It’s all part of the game. It’s still a game. It’s still fun!

Thursday Feb 12 this is the day that I first experienced a sandstorm here in the UAE. I went to Reef mall to meet mom. We went to Golden Fork to eat dinner.

Friday Feb 13. Mom and I went to Mamzar Park for a picnic together with her CFC friends. Mamzar Park again, is a beach park.^^

There’s an arcade station in the main hall and I played The King Of Fighters 96. I bought 3 tokens for 9 Dirhams. I also got a free game since the machine accidentally added a credit .=b

There was also this cute child who keeps on smiling with me. I think he is the one who inspired me to be happy. That innocence is bliss. That I am still a child. Who actually looks like a hunk LOL.

Oohhh one of My Mom’s brought chocnut! It’s a famous chocolate from the Phil. Hehe I kinda missed it!

After the Park, we went to City Centre Deira to buy a game console for me, but I decided to buy “pasalubong” or take home gifts for my bestfriends in the Philippines. I bought 2 brooches from Bijoux Terner one is a golden violin and the other is a SilverSword.

For summer, I bought speedo trunks, Billabong shorts and flipflops.

Feb14 We went to St. Mary’s Church in Dubai and then we ate chicken and mutton shawarma. We also went to Kyoto to claim my Swarovski Bracelet.

It was custom made for me, I chose these colors: Velvet purple, Crystal, Crystal aurora boreale, light sapphire blue.

My Valentine Gift!

Dubai… Noon At Ngayon (Unang kabanata)

10 years ago, nandito ako sa Dubai siguro nasa Grade 4 ako non tapos nagbakasyon ako sa UAE ng March to May. Ayun so syempre bata pa ako nun. Hehehe dameng fish….

Araw araw Fiesta!heheheh.

Naalala ko din First time ko nakakita ng “Fire Tree” sa Sharjah yata. Grabe ang ganda ganda. Parang nagliliyab na puno. Red and orange leaves, Yellow flowers. Cherry Blossoms Tree, Fire tree at Raspberry Tree.

Ang Dubai Ngayun para kang nasa Ibang Planeta. Super High Tech na mga Malls. Hotel na Underwater yung ATLANTIS nga. Grabe. Tapos dami din Hollywood Celebrity na pagala gala dito sila Lindsay Lohan, Paris, Kylie, etc etc. Dami nila. Adik ditto sila nagpupuntahan.

Hahahaha! Syempre para maganda pagkakaexplain ko. Yung mga Pinoy ditto superrrrrrrrr bait nila. As in mabait talaga. Pag nadumi sila may mas babaho pa ba dun.At eto pa! Alam nyo yung Accent nila di ko maintindihan! Ang gulo nila kausap!hahahaha! English pero yung tono nga eh bumbay nakakahawa nga yung accent nila eh hahaha! Parang kumbaga sa tagalong bisaya yung English nila. Nakakatawa! Lagi yan nakasigaw! Parang lagi may kaaway. Naku pag Arab ayoko dyan layu na. Delikado hahaha. Mga Black African? Well ..

So ayun dami nanamang Pinoy.

Ibang lahi nila eh.

Sorry.panay maliliit or matatanda. In short mga mukhang katulong. Unless nasa Cabin crew ng Emirates or nasa fitness first hehehehe.

Pero ok na ako dito for now. Wala masyadong mga naguumepal.Alam nyu na un ^^

Bryan James- ColorGenics

I just discovered this from a friendster friend, He/She LOL posted that it was Accurate as Hell so I decided to take the test. the website is http://www.goldinuniverse.com

AND TO MY SURPRISE.....It was definitely accurate in describing how I am feeling right now. I was getting all these goosebumps while I was reading my results. Just take the test and see if it works for you as well.

Name: Bryan James
Date: 2/9/2009
Colorgenics Number: 13705462

You have always been on the move seeking affectionate, satisfying and harmonious relationships. Your ultimate goal has been the realisation of an intimate union in which there could be love, self-sacrifice and mutual trust. It has often been said that 'True love is just around the corner' and - if you haven't found it as yet - you possibly soon will.
You are totally dissatisfied with your present situation. Matters are not going right for you and you are seeking a means of escape. Your mental state of mind necessitates that you need to change your thinking patterns. Remember, if one particular modus operandi doesn't seem to work, then try something different.
In spite of the fact that you believe that your hopes and ideas are realistic, it is hard for you to accept that your needs and desires are misunderstood by almost everyone within your sphere of influenceand there is no-one to turn to or rely on. Your pent-up emotions and inherent egocentricity make you quick to take offence, but as matters stand you realise that you will have to make the best of things as they are.
You are presently experiencing excessive stress as a result of self-restraint. You act and think differently from the common herd and you want to be liked and admired for yourself and to associate with people who feel and act as you do. Because of this need to be self-reliant and to break away from mediocrity, you are finding this situation most uncomfortable and you are experiencing considerable anxiety - perhaps even more than you feel the capacity to cope with. You need to find a 'soul mate', someone whose standards are as high as your own - but where? Keep on searching... The situation is uncomfortable and you would like to break away from it, but you refuse to compromise with your opinions. You are unable to resolve the situation because you are continually postponing the making of necessary decisions. You are stubborn but this is no deterrent to a happy life, so why drop your standards. Think positively, everything will work out. It has worked out successfully for you in the past and it will again in the future.
The tensions and stresses that you have experienced of late have been the result of trying to cope with conditions which are really beyond your capabilities. You feel completely inadequate to cope with the situation and you would like nothing better to escape from it all and to be able to relax in a problem and pressure free environment where you can do your thing.

Perfecto!

Flavors of the world

So today I just cut out some pictures of accessories in the morning from fashion magazines, for me to have some ideas for my business. And then we went out at around 7pm to go to Movenpick Hotel. Living Life

Life…to live the “Perfect life”. That’s what all of us want to have right? According to Abraham Maslow, the needs of man in his life are:

Physiologic Needs – Food, water, air, shelter, clothing, sleep, sex
Safety and Security needs – freedom from harm, Money,Job
Love and Belongingness – care, kindness, friends, family
Self Esteem – self-respect, recognition, independence, competence
Self- Actualization – innate need to develop one’s abilities and potentials.

I feel like Im lacking on Level 5 now. Even if I am just a fresh graduate, I feel the need to explore myself. What are the greatest things things that I can do or achieve? Is it too late for me? But come to think of it, I am just starting to live my life. I want to know how can I live this life perfectly. But things had never been perfect. Even the day that I was born was a total mistake. That makes me lack in Level 3 too, love and belongingness. Hey…..I just realized, I almost lack in everything! But what can I do? Complain and worry? I’ve had enough of mistakes. Mistakes are always there and once you make them you can never turn back time on how things should have been, or might had been. All of us want to correct the mistakes of the past. The Past kills me. Memories are just so fresh that I remember every single bit of pain that I felt. Can scars be truly removed? By technology I guess. But how about the scars of a broken heart? Scars of a lonely heart? Scars of Agony from people who made you feel that you are not perfect. Maybe that thing called “Love” is the remedy for such scars. They say that all of the things that happen in our lives, whether good or bad, makes us whole; complete; human. But I really don’t know I just feel totally sick of life =b. It’s like everything is the same, you can only expect for the worst things to happen. Living is really just so stressful. You have to complete all of these needs everyday just to be happy. So what’s the purpose of living? LIVE AND DIE?

People want money, sex, power, fame, beauty, happiness ->It’s all human nature. Everyone wants to have everything.Everyone wants and needs satisfaction of needs.

I cannot blame God for everything, God whether exists or not simply cannot make miracles and do the things that pleases us. I realized that we simply cannot rely for LUCK AND HAPPINESS its our own choices that makes us happy or sad. For example If I choose to have sex and then we do it and I know It’s bad, can I just say that “it’s God’s will?.If I enjoyed it is it God’s will again?for me to feel pleasure? What if I did something good like I gave to Charity is it God’s will? No right?! I did them because I CHOSE to do such things. And God didn’t even lift a finger to help. Things in this world are happening NATURALLY. We act by own nature, what we want, what we know, what we decide upon. But If there’s something that we can be thankful for God it is our LIFE per se. He’s the only one who gives and takes it away. And so us humans are just merely responsible for ourselves and our loved ones.We cannot rely on God to save humanity. We have to do it ourselves. The world is changing it’s Climate. Can we blame God? No. It’s a nature thingy right? Human mistakes are the roots of this strange phenomena happening to the world climate. It’s us who didn’t take good care of the Environment.

Mistakes are avoidable. If we did the right precautions.

It’s easy to say that we have to let go of the past. The past mistakes, problems and so on. That’s IMPOSSIBLE. Because the past is what we are in the PRESENT. What we are in the present gives way to what we will become in the future. All I can do now is MODIFY the present to make things better. So from now on, I am going to make each and every single day worthwhile. I want to live my life better. I am going to do my best every single day that I exist so that I wouldn’t have regrets. Each and every minute must be well spent. “Life must be a memory that is worthy of flashbacks and not what ifs”

Love is what I need to have and what I need to give.
